About the role
Summary:
Kelley Create is hiring a full-time Help Desk Technician in Salem to provide help desk support for client end users. The role includes onsite and remote diagnosis and repair, planned maintenance on client networks, and troubleshooting Tier I and Tier II issues across hardware, software, and network systems.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support for Microsoft business applications and operating systems.
- Support disaster recovery solutions.
- Provide basic technical support for WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
- Implement and support remote access solutions such as VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
- Monitor remote monitoring and management alerts and respond through service tickets.
- Maintain system documentation in ConnectWise.
- Communicate professionally with customers, keep them informed on progress, and escalate issues that require engineer-level support.
- Enter service and project work, time, and expenses in ConnectWise.
Competencies and Skills:
- Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills.
- Problem-solving, time management, and adaptability.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical skill with Windows operating systems, hardware setup, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet tools.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in an IT bench, support, or consulting role.
- At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory.
- At least 1 year of experience with LAN and WAN setup and troubleshooting.
- At least 1 year of direct end-user customer service experience.
- BA or BS in a related field preferred.
- Net+, MCSA or E, MOS, or CCNA certifications preferred.
- Reliable transportation required.
