Job Coach's support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) who have job’s in the community. They assist with communication, building work appropriate relationships, and coordinating supports an individual might need around activities of daily living. Personal Support Workers role model work appropriate behavior and assist with task analysis and accommodations. Requirements: Flexible hours and on-call availability, may require some weekends and evenings, dependent upon the supported individual’s schedule. General Position Summary: The Peer Support Specialist provides a variety of recovery-oriented services to individuals enrolled in early intervention and adult programs who have self-identified as desiring peer supports. The Peer Support Specialist works, to promote greater independence, community integration and recovery. Services provided by peers include a wide variety of supports, services and advocacy that contribute to a client's ability to engage in ongoing treatment and work towards less dependence on traditional mental health treatment. These activities acknowledge the importance of involving significant others and other natural supports in the persons treatment that could positively impact their recovery. Position Summary General Position Summary: The Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Community Living Supports is responsible for providing individualized services that promote independence, informed choice, personal growth, and community participation for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Supports occur in the person’s home, neighborhood, or broader community and are delivered in accordance with the Individual Support Plan (ISP), Oregon Administrative Rule (OAR) 411-450, and Shangri-La policies and procedures. These services are intended to be flexible and responsive to the person’s unique strengths, preferences, and needs. Position Details: Status: Part Time up to 29 Hours Location: Salem, OR Shift: This position has varying hours including weekends and evenings and must have on-call availability Starting wage: $20.14 Hourly Wage Scale: $20.14 to $25.48 Report to: CES - Manager Knowledge: Knowledge: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Candidates must have a valid Oregon Driver’s License, an acceptable driving record, and must be able to pass a criminal background check. A strong understanding of person-centered planning, alternative communication strategies, the principles of dignity of risk, and the ability to implement trauma-informed support practices is preferred. The DSP must be proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning and using current and future electronic documentation systems and workplace technologies. The Youth Sports Professional position is responsible for refereeing youth sports contest working with 1st-6th grade youth.
