Be a resource on vaccine schedule and accessing/updating Alert - should be a vaccine expert Resource/go-to for day-to-day Epic issues on the floor. First level problem solving resource, then to Team Leader. Assist Team Leader and Nurse Educator with the implementation of new Epic workflows. Performs a variety of technical procedures with competence, commitment, and initiative. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current licensure by the State of Oregon in Mammography. Certification in CPR / AED. High school Diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of Medical terminology, computers and typing experience. Detail oriented and effective organizational skills. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, staff, providers and the public. Must be able to occasionally accommodate flexible hours and shifts pending department needs. Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision making. Ability to work in a fast paced environment, while keeping close attention to accuracy with minimal supervision. Ability to work independently and as a team participant. Essential Functions: If delegated by Imaging Director, performs QC/QA and oversees all mammography functions for the Imaging Supervisor to assist; given 5 hours a week of Administrative time to assist. If delegated by Imaging Supervisor, manages the employee licenses book to ensure licenses do not expire unnoticed. Prioritize patient care and service above all other duties. Assist patients with transportation needs when necessary. Must support safety in the work environment. Assure image quality before patient leaves the department. Practice Universal Precautions. Notify department director/manager of any accident or incident to any persons or equipment. Maintain work area in clean, organized and well-stocked condition. The ability to perform 15 minute (in room) mammography. Modality Specific Functions: Produce high quality diagnostic studies with less than a 5% repeat rate in mammography also as measured by feedback from consulting Radiologists and follow established imaging protocols. Scheduling mammograms from work lists. Perform Bone Density Exams as needed. Accept delegated tasks from leadership.
